Well known companies that have huge advertising budgets can get away with using abbreviations within their domain names. The others can't, and you should avoid it because it will be difficult for your users to remember your domain name and to find you in the first place.
Users will make spelling errors and won't guess your abbreviations. You will end up sending this valuable traffic and business to your competitors and they will love this free traffic.
